More than 48 kilometers of perfectly groomed ski slopes with 32 cable cars and lifts are waiting to be discovered by you. Passionate cross-country skiers know anyway that the cross-country offer in the vacation region Seefeld is unbeatable. After all, our idyllic village has already hosted the Winter Olympics twice. More than 200 kilometers of excellently groomed trails for skating or classic cross-country skiing are the best proof of this.

Cross country skiing

279 kilometers of perfectly groomed cross-country trails

Beginners, advanced skiers and professionals can enjoy cross-country skiing in Seefeld on perfectly groomed trails at all levels of difficulty. In addition, there is a 1.5-kilometer dog trail in Seefeld.

The Seefeld Region was already twice the venue for the Nordic competitions of the Olympic Winter Games. Seefeld is rightly considered by cross-country skiing enthusiasts as the Mecca of cross-country skiing. Professionals from all over the world make a pilgrimage to the region to train for competitions, because in addition to the breathtaking nature, the range of cross-country ski trails is constantly being improved and expanded.
Decide whether you prefer skating or classic cross-country skiing. For the classic style you have 154.3 kilometers at your disposal, for skating 124.7 kilometers – and all this in front of a wonderful mountain scenery.

Winter hiking

Let yourself be enchanted by the glittering winter landscape

Seefeld offers about 250 kilometers of winter hiking trails in winter. These hiking trails impress with a very good winter service, so you can enjoy every kilometer to the fullest.

Here we would like to introduce you to three of our hikes.

 

Tour around the Seefelder Wildsee

The “journey” begins in the center of the Seefeld pedestrian zone. After following Innsbruckerstrasse, cross the street at Hotel Bergland and turn right immediately after. Follow the lakeside promenade for about 100m. On your left you should now already see the lake.
Continue walking and you should soon see the Kneipp facility. Past the Cafe Wildsee, keep left at the fork and walk along the forest path.
Arrived at the Seefelder Hochmoor you can now follow the lake promenade, past the Seefeld lido to visit the Dammhirsch enclosure after about 1km. Now it is only a few meters until you are back in Seefeld.

This hike is an easy one and takes about 1-2 hours hiking time

Peace Bell Trail

The start is at the parking lot Seewald-Alm. In the 90 minutes you will experience seven striking locations that invite you to linger. During this hike, in addition to the nature experience, seven places of inspiration, for self-reflection and thoughtfulness are offered.
At the end of the hike you will come to the Alpine Peace Bell. This bell is rung every day at 5 pm.

This hike is an easy one and takes about 90 minutes hiking time

 

Tour to the Ropferstub’m

Due to its special panoramic location, the Ropferstub’m is a popular destination. At the information center in Mösern you follow the asphalt road in the direction of Habhof.
Via this road you reach the Menthof where you already have a sensational panoramic view over the upper Inn valley.
Through the Mühltal forest we follow the asphalt road (Pirschsteig) to the Wildmoos golf course. Shortly before the Lottensee we turn left up towards Sonnplatzl. This path then leads you to the Ropferstub’m.

The tour takes about 3-4 hours. The degree of difficulty is easy.

Skiing

Something for every taste. Modern lifts and many kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes: enjoy fresh snow as far as the eye can see on slopes for every level!

The Rosshütten Express takes you directly to 2,000 meters. There you can first enjoy the sun, catch your breath a little and then enjoy one of the downhill runs. In addition, the Gwschwandtkopf ski area is very easy to reach from Seefeld. With a view of Seefeld’s landmark, the Seekirchl, this ski area is the training ground for international ski stars such as Lindsay Vonn and Maria Riesch. A little further away is the Hochmoos ski area, perfect for beginners.
